Qualcomm has unveiled its latest mobile platform for more affordable smartphones, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Compared to its predecessor, this new chipset boasts improved performance and enhanced display capabilities. The Gen 4 chips offer a seven percent boost in processing speed, higher peak CPU speeds of up to 2.7 GHz, and support for high-resolution displays with a 144Hz refresh rate.
A key feature of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is its Low Light Vision technology, which enhances video quality in low-light situations. Additionally, this chip retains Qualcomm’s AI-powered camera capabilities, Quick Charge 4+ Technology for fast charging, and real-time translation and transcription features.
While the upgrade is minor compared to last year’s model, it still promises a significant boost in performance and display capabilities for budget-friendly smartphones. Companies like Honor and Vivo may adopt the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, potentially bringing this technology to more affordable devices.
