Rapper Snoop Dogg has announced his support for President-elect Donald Trump, calling him “nothing but love and respect.” At a pre-inauguration event, the Grammy-winning artist performed at Crypto Ball, a gathering of high-profile guests including UFC star Colby Covington.
Snoop’s sudden change of heart comes after years of criticizing Trump. In 2017, he featured Trump as a clown in his song “Lavender,” and in 2020, he called Trump a “punk” on his radio show. However, Snoop now claims that Trump has done great things for him, including pardoning associate Michael Harris.
Harris was released from prison after being commuted by Trump in 2021. Snoop Dogg acquired Death Row Records, which includes Harris’s record label, in 2022. The rapper’s support for Trump marks a significant shift in his views on the president-elect.
