The New York Times’ popular word game “Connections” challenges players to find common threads between four words. The game resets every night, and today’s puzzle is available for solution after midnight. To help you overcome the hurdle, we’ve gathered hints and tips.
The game requires players to group four words that share a connection in one of 16 categories. Each category has four sets, and each set features words that can be rearranged and shuffled to make spotting connections easier. Players have up to four mistakes before the game ends.
One way to get started is by trying the hints provided by The New York Times. Today’s categories include “Glimpse,” “Needs for tie-dyeing a shirt,” “Things you can crack,” and “Words before ‘Hop.'” Using these hints, players can narrow down their options and find the correct answer.
For example, if you’re stuck on the “Glimpse” category, try using words that are associated with vision or sight. The solution includes words like “GANDER,” “GLANCE,” “LOOK,” and “PEEP.”
In addition to these hints, players can share their results on social media and rearrange the board to make spotting connections easier. Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Don’t worry if you didn’t manage to solve today’s puzzle – there will be new Connections for you to try tomorrow. In the meantime, check out The New York Times’ other games, including Wordle, Strands, and Mahjong.
