South Park fans in the US have only a few days left to watch the show on HBO Max before it moves exclusively to Paramount Plus. The new episodes of the show, which started airing this summer amid a heated licensing dispute, will disappear from the streamer on August 5.
The streaming rights for South Park now belong to Paramount Plus, with all 26 seasons available to watch on the platform along with the first episode of season 27, featuring Donald Trump and Satan in bed. The deal was finalized last month after a long licensing dispute between Park County and Paramount, with the show’s creators threatening legal action over Skydance’s veto of a $300 million per year deal.
The dispute has ended, with Paramount closing the deal with an estimated value of $300 million for five years instead of ten. South Park season 27 will be released on August 6 on Comedy Central and the next day on Paramount Plus.
