Comedy Central and Paramount+ to air new episode of the satirical series, which will target President Donald Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.
The latest episode of “South Park” is set to air on Wednesday night, with a teaser post on social media revealing character Mr. Mackey dressed as an ICE officer, alongside Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The episode, titled “Got A Nut,” will depict the character losing his job and desperately trying to find a new way to make a living.
The Department of Homeland Security responded by posting a still from the teaser on their social media account, urging people to apply for work with the agency. However, “South Park” fired back at the agency’s post, saying they were relevant, referencing the White House’s claim that the show has not been relevant in over 20 years.
A video preview for the new episode teases the return of a satirized Trump alongside cartoon Satan, who was depicted as his lover in the previous season premiere. The episode will air on Comedy Central and stream on Paramount+ the following day.
The White House previously slammed “South Park” as a “fourth-rate” show that has not been relevant for over 20 years, after it targeted President Trump’s immigration policies in its latest episode. The show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, struck a $1.5 billion deal with Paramount to produce new episodes of the series, which will air exclusively on the platform.
The deal includes 50 new episodes over five years and follows negotiations that were reportedly tense, as lawyers representing the “South Park” creators threatened to sue Jeff Shell, a former NBCUniversal executive who is set to become Paramount’s president.
