Southern California To Receive Light Rainfall Through Thursday

Unpredictable weather in Southern California is expected to bring light precipitation from Friday to Thursday in Santa Clarita, according to Ryan Kittell, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. Three systems are forecasted to pass through the area, but no significant threats of flooding or damage to areas affected by recent fires are predicted.

The rain is expected to be “beneficial” and “light to occasionally moderate,” with minimal impacts. The third system, which will reach the area from Tuesday night to Thursday, has a 70% chance of rain, making it the most likely to bring precipitation. However, the first and second systems have lower probabilities: 20-30% for Friday-Saturday and 60% for Sunday-Monday.

Residents are advised to prepare for potential icy conditions when traveling north, particularly through the Grapevine, where snow and ice may cause delays on Sunday night and Monday. Overall, while rain is expected, its impacts will be minimal, and residents should make plans accordingly.
