SpaceX Completes Historic Polar Orbit Flight with Splashing Down

SpaceX successfully splashed down a Dragon capsule off the coast of California on Friday, marking a historic milestone in space tourism. The capsule carried four private space tourists on its maiden crewed polar orbit flight, completing a journey that passed by both the North and South poles.

This achievement is also significant as it marks the first splashdown in 50 years in the Pacific Ocean. The last time humans returned from space to the Pacific was during the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission.

The private funding for this mission came from billionaire Chun Wang, who led the crew’s training and prepared them for their spaceflight.
