NASA and SpaceX are targeting a specific date for the undocking of the agency’s SpaceX Crew-10 mission from the International Space Station, pending weather conditions.
The crew of four astronauts – Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers, Takuya Onishi, and Kirill Peskov – has been on a five-month science expedition aboard the ISS. They will return to Earth with time-sensitive research.
Undocking is scheduled for no earlier than 6:05 p.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 8, with splashdown targeted at 11:33 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 9. The location of the splashdown is expected to be off the California coast.
NASA will provide live coverage of the return and related activities through various platforms, including NASA+, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. A media teleconference will also take place on Sunday, Aug. 10, featuring participants from NASA, SpaceX, and JAXA.
