SpaceX Deploys Starlink V2 Mini Satellites

SpaceX successfully launched its 15th batch of Starlink V2 Mini satellites, deploying 26 new satellites into low Earth orbit on Tuesday evening. The Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 7:05 p.m. PDT and used the first stage booster B1093 for a fourth launch.

The successful deployment marks the 30th orbital launch from California this year, with all but one of these launches by SpaceX using its Falcon 9 rocket. Meanwhile, Firefly Aerospace has been grounded after an anomaly during a recent launch on April 29, 2025, and an ongoing investigation is still pending clearance for further launches.

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is preparing to resume West Coast launches with its Vulcan rocket later this year, with the company overhauling Space Launch Complex 3. However, no official launch date has been announced for the first Vulcan flight from Vandenberg.
