SpaceX rescheduled its Sunday morning Falcon 9 rocket launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base due to a wayward aircraft in the airspace. The team declared “hold” with seconds left before liftoff, citing safety concerns.
The new target departure time is 11:12 a.m. on Monday, and additional launch opportunities are available starting at 6:51 a.m. Tuesday if needed. The Falcon 9 rocket will deliver 27 Starlink satellites into orbit.
After the mission, the first-stage booster aims to land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific Ocean. Residents of affected areas may hear sonic booms during launch, depending on weather and other conditions.
A live webcast of the mission can be watched at www.spacex.com or on X @SpaceX starting five minutes prior to liftoff.
