SpaceX is set to launch its next-generation DigitalGlobe earth observation satellites, WorldView-Legion 5 and 6, into orbit from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A.
The launch is scheduled for February 3, 2025, with a launch window of 6:32 PM – 7:33 PM ET. The Falcon 9 rocket will be carrying the satellites into space on board Block 5, marking another milestone in SpaceX’s reusable rocket program.
Viewers can watch the launch live from a designated viewing area at the Apollo/Saturn V Center, with Launch Transportation Tickets available for $75 in addition to admission. Buses will begin boarding at 3:30 PM ET and check-in starts at 3:15 PM ET.
The WorldView-Legion satellites are being built by SSL and represent DigitalGlobe’s latest generation of earth observation technology. With the launch, SpaceX will be providing another critical service for remote sensing and monitoring of our planet.
