SpaceX launched two missions from its Space Coast pads in less than four hours, with a communications satellite and 24 internet satellites reaching orbit. The Falcon 9 rocket carrying Koreasat-6A lifted off at 12:22 p.m. from Kennedy Space Center’s Pad 39-A, followed by the Starlink 6-69 mission at 4:28 p.m. from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Pad 40.
The two launches are significant milestones for SpaceX, with the first rocket carrying a record-breaking 23rd landing after its initial launch. The booster also made its 12th flight and successfully landed on a droneship in the Atlantic.
The second launch was rescheduled due to poor weather, but conditions were favorable for Monday’s attempt. With these two launches, SpaceX has broken its own record for consecutive launches from the Space Coast, with only five exceptions since January 2024.
Notably, the record for the shortest time between launches on the Space Coast remains a Gemini-era achievement, set in 1966 during four Gemini program missions. However, SpaceX has come close to beating this record, with some launches occurring within 97 minutes of their predecessors.
