SpaceX Launch Delayed Due to Hydraulic System Issue

A delay in the scheduled launch of SpaceX’s Crew-10 mission has been caused by a ground issue with the hydraulic system on the Falcon 9 rocket, which was holding it in place on the launch pad. The new launch time is set for Friday at 7:03 p.m. EST.

Four astronauts, including NASA’s Anne McClain and Japanese astronaut Takuya Onishi, are scheduled to launch into orbit on Wednesday night from Florida. Their mission will include six months of living and working on the International Space Station.

NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who were part of the Crew-9 mission that ended in a failed test flight last year, are expected to return home with the Crew-10 crew as early as Sunday, March 16. The handover period will allow for a smooth transition between the two crews.

The delay is not expected to impact the astronauts’ stay on the space station or their eventual departure. NASA will provide live coverage of the launch and subsequent arrival at the ISS.
