SpaceX Launches 24 Starlink Satellites from California

SpaceX launched its second Starlink mission in 24 hours on Sunday morning (July 27) at 12:31 a.m. EDT, sending 24 more satellites into low Earth orbit. The Falcon 9 rocket, which successfully landed on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship, marked the 19th flight for its first stage and the company’s 95th mission of 2025.

The launch increased the total number of active Starlink units in orbit to 8,032, according to satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell. This was SpaceX’s second launch within 24 hours, following a previous launch on July 26, and marks the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its megaconstellation.

This mission brings the total number of completed missions by SpaceX since 2008 to 520, with 92 of those being launched using Falcon 9 rockets.
