SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket for the second time on Monday from Florida’s Space Coast. The rocket, carrying several payloads, including satellite and cargo units, lifted off at 8:48 p.m. from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40. This mission follows a previous launch of a commercial resupply services (CRS-32) mission to the International Space Station.
The Falcon 9 rocket will make its third flight with a reusable booster, which has previously supported missions like O3b mPOWER-E and Crew-10. After stage separation, the first stage booster is set to land at Cape Canaveral’s Landing Zone 2. The launch comes as SpaceX reuses rockets on the Space Coast, potentially producing single or double sonic booms during landing.
