SpaceX Launches Falcon 9 Rocket with GPS III-7 Mission

SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying the GPS III-7 mission to medium-Earth orbit. The rocket lifted off at around 1:30 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 and was reused for the fourth time, having previously flown on CRS-32, NROL-69, and a Starlink mission.

After separation of its first stage, the rocket landed successfully on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean. This is the latest in SpaceX’s efforts to reuse its rockets, reducing costs and increasing efficiency in space exploration. The GPS III-7 mission marks an important milestone in the development of the US military’s navigation system.
