SpaceX will launch a new batch of Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral on Sunday night, marking the debut flight for its brand new Falcon 9 rocket’s first-stage booster. The mission is scheduled to liftoff at 11:42 p.m. EST and will not produce any sonic booms in Florida.
The launch, designated as Starlink 12-13, aims to deploy the latest batch of internet satellites into orbit. After liftoff, the Falcon 9 rocket will travel on a southeast trajectory. The first-stage booster will land on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
Notably, this launch marks SpaceX’s fourth consecutive Starlink mission from Cape Canaveral. The company has confirmed that it is targeting an 11:42 p.m. liftoff time with backup opportunities available until 3:42 a.m. Monday.
