SpaceX Launches Record-Breaking 21 Starlink Satellites

SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket early Saturday morning, deploying 21 new Starlink V2 Mini satellites into orbit. The flight marked the 14th launch of 2025 with Starlink satellites onboard and featured the first stage booster flying for its record-breaking 26th time.

The launch took place at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s pad 40 and was given an 80% chance of favorable weather by the 45th Weather Squadron. However, forecasters did note that coastal showers could move inland during the primary launch window due to breezy conditions.

Among the satellites launched were 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, providing internet connectivity services in remote areas. The successful deployment follows previous SpaceX missions, including four Dragon trips to the International Space Station and multiple Starlink launches. The first stage booster also landed on a SpaceX droneship for the 98th time, marking another milestone in SpaceX’s reusable technology efforts.
