SpaceX Launches Starlink Group 12-2 with Falcon 9 Rocket

SpaceX successfully launched its 432nd mission, Starlink Group 12-2, using the Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A on December 23, 2024. The launch marked several milestones for SpaceX, including its 411th successful Falcon 9 launch, 341st flight-proven stage launch, and 307th booster landing success.

The payload consists of a massive 16,000 kg (35,200 lb) of satellites bound for low-Earth Orbit. After liftoff, the first stage landed on a drone ship, with the fairing halves recovered by SpaceX’s Doug during the post-launch process.

This launch joins an impressive list of achievements for SpaceX in 2024, including its 135th launch of the year and 424th successful mission. With this milestone, SpaceX continues to expand its Starlink satellite constellation and push the boundaries of space technology.
