SpaceX successfully launched its Starlink internet satellite mission from Cape Canaveral, ahead of the holiday season. The Falcon 9 rocket took off at 12:35 a.m., carrying 21 satellites into orbit, including 13 for mobile service.
The first stage booster landed on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship eight-and-a-half minutes after liftoff, marking its fourteenth flight and seventh Starlink mission. This launch is the Space Coast’s 91st launch of the year.
Meanwhile, SpaceX’s Astranis Space Technologies mission has been delayed due to weather conditions and a last-minute abort on Friday. The new estimated launch date for the mission remains unknown at this time.
