SpaceX successfully launched another Falcon 9 rocket on Saturday, delivering the latest batch of 21 Starlink internet satellites into space. The rocket took off at 2:18 p.m. from Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 40, just hours after a brief delay.
The mission, referred to as Starlink 12-9, included 13 satellites with direct-to-cell capabilities, marking an expansion of SpaceX’s Starlink internet service. This was the rocket’s 17th flight and marked another milestone in the company’s reusable launch technology.
After liftoff, the first-stage booster landed successfully on the A Shortfall of Gravitas drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately eight minutes post-launch. The landing was a testament to SpaceX’s innovative approach to space exploration.
With this launch, SpaceX has confirmed multiple upcoming missions, including a Starlink launch set for Tuesday, February 11, and another scheduled for Monday, February 17. Both launches will originate from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 40.
