A record-breaking 108 orbital rockets are expected to take flight from Florida’s Space Coast by year’s end, marking a significant increase in the number of launches compared to last year’s 93.
Looking ahead to the upcoming launch schedule, numerous SpaceX Starlink missions and other notable launches will be taking place at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and neighboring Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
On April 9, United Launch Alliance (ULA) will launch the first batch of Amazon’s Project Kuiper internet satellites to low-Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station using an Atlas V rocket.
The next day, SpaceX is set to launch a Starlink 12-17 mission, although the exact location and trajectory remain unknown. This mission marks another installment in SpaceX’s efforts to provide global internet coverage.
Later this month, NASA and SpaceX will collaborate on the CRS-32 resupply mission to the International Space Station using a Dragon spacecraft. The launch window is set for no earlier than 4:15 am.
Other notable launches include SpaceX’s GPS III-7 mission, which was previously scheduled for ULA Vulcan rocket, now to be launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station; and Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket launch with NASA’s ESCAPADE mission bound for Mars.
SpaceX’s Axiom Space Ax-4 crewed launch is also expected in spring, while Sierra Space will launch its uncrewed Dream Chaser space plane atop a ULA Vulcan rocket later this year.
