SpaceX Successfully Lands Falcon 9 Booster After Starlink Launch

SpaceX successfully confirmed the landing of its Falcon 9 rocket booster on a droneship after launching its latest batch of 23 Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit. The Starlink 12-14 mission marked the 450th launch of a Falcon rocket, accounting for 439 Falcon 9 and 11 Falcon Heavy flights.

The launch, which occurred at 10:19 a.m. EST (1519 UTC), took place under favorable weather conditions, with a high-pressure system dominating the region. The 45th Weather Squadron forecast an 85% chance of favorable weather, but warned of gusty northerly winds during the liftoff and launch window.

The Falcon 9 booster, tail number B1076, landed on the SpaceX droneship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” about eight minutes after liftoff, marking its 99th landing. The booster had previously flown for a 21st time, having completed missions such as Intelsat IS-40e, CRS-26, and several Starlink flights.

The mission included 13 satellites with Direct to Cell capabilities, making it SpaceX’s 15th dedicated Starlink launch of 2025 and the 16th featuring Starlink satellites.
