SpaceX to Launch Back-to-Back Rockets for Starlink Satellites

SpaceX is set to launch two Falcon 9 rockets on Sunday, one from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and the other from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The back-to-back launches will send a total of 58 Starlink satellites into space.

The first rocket, launching from Cape Canaveral, is scheduled to lift off at 10:09 p.m. EDT on Sunday. This will be SpaceX’s 49th Falcon 9 launch of the year and marks the 117th successful landing of a booster on the company’s droneship, “Just Read the Instructions”.

The second rocket, launching from Vandenberg Space Force Base, will send 27 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit. Both missions are part of SpaceX’s Starlink 12-23 program, aimed at expanding the satellite internet network.

SpaceX has a favorable weather outlook for both launches, with a 90% chance of clear skies for liftoff on Sunday. However, meteorologists predict scattered showers and thunderstorms across central Florida later in the day.
