Spanish police made an arrest after discovering 250 dead animals in a filthy warehouse. The warehouse, in the village of Meson do Vento, had poor hygiene and welfare conditions for the animals. A total of 171 live animals were rescued, including exotic species like macaws and cockatoos. Many of these surviving animals had been feeding off the dead ones due to lack of food and water. The site manager is being charged with animal abuse, illegal possession of protected species, and unqualified veterinary practice.
