Nintendo has announced its first-ever Splatoon spinoff game, Splatoon Raiders, which will be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2. In this new title, players take on the role of a mechanic and explore the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside the Deep Cut trio.
A free update is also coming to Splatoon 3 on June 12 for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The update adds new weapons from the Barazushi and Emberz brands, featuring fresh looks with different sub and special weapon options. There are a total of 30 new weapon kits in this collection.
The update includes new features such as raised Freshness caps, earning new in-game Badges, and a stat system called Series Weapon Power that matches players with similar power levels. This allows players to try out new weapons without being disadvantaged.
Additionally, the update enhances visuals and gameplay on locations like Splatsville and the Grand Festival Grounds. Players will also be able to play together across both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
