Spurs Farewell: How Much Will They Miss Son Heung-min?

Spurs player Son Heung-min has made an emotional farewell after playing his final game for the club in front of a packed Seoul crowd. The South Korean forward was given a guard of honour and emotional tributes from both teams as he took his leave.

Son, who spent 10 years with Spurs, is set to join Los Angeles FC. His departure leaves a significant void, particularly when considering his statistics – 173 goals and 101 assists in 454 games. He holds the record for most Premier League assists, achieved before departing the club last season.

The new manager Thomas Frank will need players to step up following Son’s absence. Spurs averaged 2.1 goals and 1.4 points per game with Son starting, significantly less without him. The team is expected to face tough challenges without their captain’s leadership and goal-scoring prowess.
