The wait is over. Netflix’s record-breaking hit K-drama “Squid Game” will return for its third and final season on Friday, June 27. The dystopian drama, about desperate people competing in childhood games to win a life-changing prize, will have six episodes.
Following protagonist Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who attempts to stop the game after winning it the first time, the show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, confirmed this is the final season. In an open letter to fans last year, Hwang revealed he never intended to make a second or third season due to the challenges involved.
