SSI Payment Dates for 2025: What to Expect

SSI recipients will not receive a payment in June, but their benefits will be paid out. This is due to the calendar’s scheduling system, which determines when payments are issued based on birthdays and holidays.

About 7.4 million Americans receive monthly Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit payments, with about one-third also receiving Social Security benefits. SSI recipients typically receive a monthly payment on the first day of the month. However, if the first day falls on a weekend or holiday, payments are issued early.

The May SSI payment was issued on May 1, and the June payment is scheduled for May 30 due to the holiday schedule. This means SSI recipients will receive two checks in May but not one in June.

To plan ahead, here are the SSI payment dates for 2025:

* Friday, May 30: June 2025
* Tuesday, July 1: July 2025
* Friday, August 1: August 2025
* Friday, August 29: September 2025
* Wednesday, October 1: October 2025
* Friday, October 31: November 2025
* Monday, December 1: December 2025
* Wednesday, December 31: January 2026

Supplemental Security Income is a program for individuals with limited income or resources, those aged 65 or older, and those who are blind or have a qualifying disability.
