Starbucks Brings Back Spring Favorites with New Sips and Menu Additions

Starbucks is welcoming spring with a new Iced Cherry Chai, a black tea infused with cinnamon, clove, and other spices, combined with milk and ice and topped with cherry cream cold foam and a cherry crunch topping. The drink marks the coffee chain’s first springtime chai release.

Customers can also enjoy a trio of colorful beverages returning to stores: the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte, and Lavender Crème Frappuccino. These drinks feature subtle floral notes and will be available nationwide starting March 4.

In addition to new sips, Starbucks is adding a savory item to its permanent food menu: the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket. The pocket is filled with diced chicken, charred poblanos, green jalapeños, three-chile-pepper cheese, and jalapeño cream cheese, wrapped in a toasted chile lavash flatbread.

Fans of blonde roasts will be happy to try Starbucks’ new Sunsera Blend, which boasts notes of citrus and toasted almond. This blend will be the hot brewed light roast Coffee of the Day starting March 4.

However, some drinks are being removed from the menu, including Iced Matcha Lemonade, Espresso Frappuccino, Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino, Java Chip Frappuccino, White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino, and more. According to Starbucks, these drinks were not commonly purchased or were complex to make.

The company also announced that it will offer a free packet of Truff Original or Jalapeño Lime Hot Sauce with the purchase of any breakfast sandwich, breakfast wrap, egg bites, bakes, lunch sandwiches, or pockets for a limited time.
