Starbucks to Cut 30% of Drinks from Menu Next Week

Starbucks is simplifying its menu by removing some ‘less popular’ drinks starting next week. The Seattle-based coffee giant announced that it will cut a selection of blended Frappuccino beverages, including the Royal English Breakfast Latte and White Hot Chocolate. These items are set to be removed on March 4.

The company cited reducing wait times, improving consistency, and making way for innovation as reasons for the menu changes. Starbucks plans to focus on fewer, more popular items executed with excellence. To compensate, it will introduce new items such as its Cortado beverage introduced last month and an “Iced Cherry Chai” set to debut in the spring.

The cuts are part of a broader restructuring effort at Starbucks, which also involves laying off 1,100 corporate employees globally this week. The company aims for a roughly 30% reduction in menu items by the end of 2025 fiscal year in the US.
