Several high-profile performers will take the stage to celebrate Donald Trump’s inauguration weekend in Washington D.C. The lineup includes country superstars Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean, rocker Kid Rock, and rapper Nelly.
Carrie Underwood was set to perform with the Armed Forces Choir and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club before opting for a solo a cappella performance. Country singer Lee Greenwood is also scheduled to perform his hit song “God Bless the U.S.A.” The event will mark the 82-year-old’s latest appearance at a presidential inauguration.
Kid Rock, who recently received a call from Trump himself, will be performing along with the Village People, including surviving original member Victor Willis. The band will perform their iconic disco track “Y.M.C.A.”
Other performers include Billy Ray Cyrus, who took the stage despite backlash over comments made about his daughter Miley Cyrus during the campaign; Liberty University’s Praise choir; Jason Aldean, who reaffirmed his support for Trump on social media; and Rascal Flatts. Nelly will also be performing at the Liberty Ball.
The performances are part of a series of events planned by Governor Kristi Noem to celebrate the inauguration. The lineup showcases a mix of country, rock, and gospel music, reflecting the diverse musical tastes of attendees.
