Steelers General Manager Omar Khan Signs 3-Year Deal

Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan has signed a new three-year deal, extending his contract through the 2028 season. The agreement comes after a successful three-year tenure with the team, during which Khan has overseen significant roster construction and playoff appearances.

Khan, 48, joined the Steelers in 2022 as GM, replacing Kevin Colbert, and has since led the team to a 29-22 record over his first three seasons. The Steelers have made the postseason twice under Khan’s leadership, although they lost both times in the wild-card round.

The new deal reflects Khan’s commitment to building a championship roster, with goals set for another Super Bowl title in Pittsburgh and beyond. Since taking over, Khan has been aggressive in free agency and trades, including blockbuster deals for wide receiver DK Metcalf and cornerback Jalen Ramsey this year.

Other notable moves include the signing of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and cornerback Darius Slay. With 12 picks in the 2026 NFL draft, hosted in Pittsburgh, the Steelers are poised to make a significant impact on the field. Coach Mike Tomlin has also signed a three-year extension through the 2027 season, solidifying the team’s leadership under Khan’s guidance.
