Despite this, Wilson expressed his intention to return to the team. “That’s the plan,” he said. “I love it here. I think we have a great football team. Obviously, it didn’t end the way we wanted it to, and I think there’s a lot more to do.”
However, Justin Fields appears to be the more logical choice as the team looks towards 2025. With his younger age and strong early-season performance compared to Wilson’s decline at the end of the season, bringing in Fields might be the better option for the Steelers.
