Stellantis Says US Tariffs Cost €300m

The car company behind Vauxhall, Jeep and Fiat says US President Donald Trump’s tariffs have cost it €300m (£259.6m, $349.2m). Stellantis attributed the financial hit to 25% tariffs impacting trade and resulting in lost production. The 25% tariff on imported cars has been in place since April and threatened global car trade and supply chains. The company’s shipments to North America were 25% lower in June compared to the same period last year, with total sales down 10%. Stellantis forecasts €74.3bn in revenues for the first half of the year and a net loss of €2.3bn due to tariffs.
