Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Sterling Sharpe finally achieved his dream of becoming a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame after being inducted on Saturday. The occasion marked a special moment for the brothers, as Sterling returned the favor to his brother Shannon by handing him his gold jacket.
Shannon was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011 and famously declared Sterling the better football player between the two of them when he was first inducted. However, with this gesture, Sterling acknowledged that Shannon is indeed the superior player.
The Sharpe brothers became the first sibling duo in NFL history to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The brothers had a close bond throughout their careers, with Sterling dedicating his playing career to entertaining an audience of one – his younger brother.
