Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are reviving reunion buzz after a cryptic billboard on Los Angeles’ Sunset Boulevard hinted at the reissue of their 1973 album Buckingham Nicks. The billboard, featuring the duo’s original cover art, has sparked speculation about a long-awaited rerelease.
The original Buckingham Nicks album was Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham’s only release together before joining Fleetwood Mac in 1975. It has been out of print for decades, with fans holding out hope for a digital or vinyl reissue. A brief appearance on Rhino Records’ website also suggests an announcement is imminent.
While there has been no official confirmation from the artists or their representatives, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham have shared matching Instagram posts featuring lyrics from Buckingham Nicks cut “Frozen Love.” The post has fueled speculation about a joint tour or full Fleetwood Mac reunion, although Stevie Nicks previously stated that Christine McVie’s passing made such a reunion impossible.
A reissue of Buckingham Nicks is set to release on September 19, and fans will have to wait until then to see if the album finally gets its long-overdue re-release.
