Wells Fargo shares climbed 6.7% after the bank posted better-than-expected adjusted earnings, with guidance for higher net interest income in 2025.
Goldman Sachs moved 6% higher following its quarterly results exceeding expectations. Citigroup’s fourth-quarter results also beat estimates, driving its shares up 6.5%. Bank of New York Mellon reported strong earnings, while JPMorgan Chase saw its shares gain 2% on strong fixed-income performances.
BlackRock added 5.2% after posting a beating quarterly report. CBRE Group advanced 5.1% as Morgan Stanley upgraded the real estate stock to “overweight.” Conversely, Calavo Growers slid 6.8% following its fiscal fourth-quarter results showing revenue growth but also increased competition in the avocado distribution market.
