Strategy, led by co-founder Michael Saylor, has acquired 471,107 Bitcoins worth approximately $45.3 billion, according to the latest update. This move comes as the company continues to focus on its corporate treasury strategy amidst a recent rebrand and sideways price action in its stock.
In January, Strategy purchased 10,107 Bitcoins, bringing its total holdings to 481,214 BTC. The company’s CEO Phong Le stated that Strategy is innovating in Bitcoin and artificial intelligence, highlighting its commitment to accumulating the digital asset.
Despite reporting a $640 million loss for Q4 2024, Strategy continued to aggressively acquire Bitcoins, with 195,000 new coins added to its holdings in the quarter. The company outlined several bullish price catalysts for Bitcoin in 2025, including potential framework for digital assets, political support, and growing institutional adoption.
Strategy’s stock is currently trading at around $327 per share, down nearly 40% from its all-time high in November 2024. However, the company remains above its 200-day exponential moving average (EMA), a critical level of support.
