Strattec Security Corp. to Sell Headquarters Facility as Part of Modernization Efforts

Strattec Security Corp., a Glendale-based automotive supplier, plans to sell its 300,000-square-foot headquarters facility as part of efforts to modernize and upgrade its operations. The company will conduct an evaluation to identify the best operational space for manufacturing and office accommodations.

The facility, located on 28 acres of land in the Milwaukee area, is used by approximately 300 employees, including 160 manufacturing staff. Strattec aims to reduce its manufacturing operations from three shifts to two, eliminating around 20 positions, and switch to a 10-hour, four-day workweek.

According to Jennifer Slater, president and CEO of Strattec, streamlining the company’s operations is a priority, with a focus on improving office and manufacturing facilities, enhancing work environments, and supporting sustainable growth. Slater has been in charge since July 1, bringing changes such as updating IT systems and developing strategies for sustainable growth.

Strattec is the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive locks and keys, with over 3,300 employees and annual revenue exceeding $490 million.
