Nintendo has confirmed that support for amiibo will continue on the Switch 2, and as part of this, Capcom is releasing three new amiibo figures for Street Fighter 6. The new figures are Luke, Kimberly, and Jamie, which are larger than existing ones like Ryu and Ken from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
These amiibo will allow players to save data and settings, unlock exclusive rewards such as music and device wallpapers, and transfer configurations to other systems. Additionally, there are 22-themed amiibo cards that will unlock some exclusive rewards in-game.
Listings for the new amiibo have started appearing on retailer websites in the US for $29.99 each. They will be released alongside the Switch 2 and Street Fighter 6 on June 5, 2025. The figures will also include a case/holder for the cards, which is expected to enhance gameplay.
Commenters are divided on their interest in the new amiibo, with some expressing excitement and others expressing frustration over the high price point of $29.99 each. However, many fans are excited about the prospect of unlocking exclusive rewards and having more characters to add to their collections.
The Street Fighter 6 amiibo will be available for purchase on June 5, 2025, alongside the game’s release on the Switch 2 console.
