Street Fighter 6 Summer Update Seeks Performance Boosts

Capcom is set to release an update for Street Fighter 6 around June 5th, 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. This update will address key performance issues on previous platforms, including improved frame rates and reduced input delay.

One notable feature that may be added in this update is DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology, which has been exclusive to PC hardware until now. The Nintendo Switch 2’s ability to run DLSS could significantly boost performance for its users. However, the absence of this technology in Street Fighter 6 on previous platforms is puzzling.

Without in-game menus to adjust upscaling settings like FSR (Fast Spectral Rendering) or DLSS, gamers are missing out on significant performance improvements that can enhance frame rates and reduce input delay. Capcom has not provided a clear reason for the game’s lack of these features.

The Nintendo Switch 2’s reliance on DLSS as one of its core features to boost performance makes it possible that future versions of Street Fighter 6 will incorporate this technology, benefiting a large portion of the player base. Adding DLSS would greatly benefit players with capable GPUs and is already seen in Monster Hunter Rise and Wilds, which use the same engine.

With the June update, we can expect to know if DLSS and other graphic upscaling tech will be added to Street Fighter 6. Gamers who want to see this feature implemented can voice their support through comments on the game’s website or by reaching out to Capcom on social media.
