Street Profits Win Historic WWE Tag Team Title on SmackDown

SmackDown made history last night as The Street Profits captured the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time ever. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford defeated #DIY’s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa to win the coveted title.

The event took place in Barcelona, Spain, marking SmackDown’s first-ever visit to the city. The night began with a brawl between Braun Strowman, Jimmy Uso, and LA Knight against Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga. Strowman emerged victorious after delivering a Running Powerslam to Tama Tonga.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair continued her dominance by defeating B-Fab in an intense match. However, the victory was short-lived as WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton intervened, sparking a wild brawl with WrestleMania challenger Rhea Ripley not mentioned but rival B-Fab’s storyline was kept intact.

Cody Rhodes and John Cena’s rivalry also reached new heights as Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes attacked The Miz on “Miz TV” days before facing off against his WrestleMania challenger. Damian Priest defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by disqualification after being attacked by Drew McIntyre, while Randy Orton overcame Carmelo Hayes with a surprise RKO.

The match that everyone was waiting for finally happened as The Street Profits captured the WWE Tag Team Championship. After Johnny Gargano accidentally took out Tommaso Ciampa, Angelo Dawkins tagged in Montez Ford, who delivered a splash to secure the victory. The crowd erupted as The Street Profits celebrated their historic win, marking the first time ever on SmackDown.

In other news, Gunther retained his World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Axiom, while Kevin Owens emerged from the chaos of Randy Orton vs Carmelo Hayes. Roman Reigns announced that he will be joining SmackDown next week after The Tribal Chief’s attack on Seth Rollins and CM Punk.
