A stuntwoman, Devyn LaBella, has filed a lawsuit against actor Kevin Costner, alleging that he made her perform an unscripted and violent rape scene while filming his upcoming movie “Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2”.
LaBella, who was hired as the lead stunt double for actress Ella Hunt, claims she was not given adequate warning or consent before being asked to participate in the scene. The film’s director, Costner, allegedly directed a male actor to repeatedly perform a violent simulated rape on LaBella without an intimacy coordinator present.
LaBella alleges that she felt “exposed, unprotected, and deeply betrayed” after the filming experience and has since taken several days off to “regain control”. She claims multiple crew members later apologized for Costner’s behavior.
Costner has denied all allegations, stating he takes safety on set seriously and that LaBella gave consent for the scene. However, LaBella maintains she was forced into the situation and her experience has left her shaken. The lawsuit is ongoing.
