Gabriel Macht and Stephen Amell, who now share the torch as the lead actors of Suits, attended the show’s Los Angeles premiere on February 20. The two actors posed in character as their on-screen lawyers, looking dapper in dark suits.
Macht won’t fully reprise his role as Harvey Specter from the original series but will make a guest appearance in the new show, which stars Amell as hotshot lawyer Ted Black. Suits aired for nine seasons on USA Network from 2011 to 2019 and followed the character of Harvey Specter played by Macht.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Macht explained that he was hesitant to return to the show initially due to concerns about his family life. However, creator Aaron Korsh convinced him to come back after promising to film around Macht’s schedule.
Macht stated that his return is a “business decision” but also acknowledged that he wants to support the fans and do something light-hearted for their enjoyment.
