Remedy Entertainment is excited to announce a new feature in their upcoming cooperative first-person shooter game, FBC: Firebreak – Altered Augments. The game takes place within the iconic Control universe and allows three players to battle hordes of otherworldly monsters together.
In FBC: Firebreak, you’ll play as a Firebreaker who descends deep into The Oldest House with special tools and abilities to solve paranormal crises. These include three bespoke Crisis Kits, each containing unique Altered Augments that can summon lightning storms, unleash massive damage, or even shoot boiling water at enemies.
One of these Altered Augments is the Garden Gnome (AI9), which attaches to an Electro-Kinetic Charge Impactor and summons a lightning storm around it. The storm damages and stuns all creatures in its area, but be careful not to attack your own team members – the Garden Gnome won’t discriminate.
Another example is the Piggy Bank (AI16), which attaches to a Wrench and creates a massive damage arc when swung. It also releases a coin tornado that damages enemies, but beware of hitting your teammates – it’s considered rude in some cultures!
The Teapot (AI44) is an Altered Augment that attaches to the Crank-Operated Fluidic Ejector, allowing it to shoot boiling water at enemies and dealing burning damage. However, be aware that this also causes damage to teammates who are affected by the cold condition.
FBC: Firebreak will be released in Summer 2025 for PlayStation 5, with day one availability for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. The game is designed to be played with friends, making it an excellent multiplayer experience.
