Suns’ Plumlee, Rockets’ Adams Ejected in Houston Brawl

Phoenix Suns center Mason Plumlee and Houston Rockets center Steven Adams were ejected from their matchup Wednesday night after a physical altercation in the paint. The two centers got tangled up late in the second quarter while fighting for rebounding position, leading to both players being quickly tossed from the game.

The Rockets ultimately won 111-104, behind strong performances from Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun. The Suns fell to 30-36 on the season, outside of the playoff race. Mason Plumlee finished with four points and six rebounds in his 13 minutes of play, while Steven Adams contributed one point and four rebounds off the bench.

The ejection was a result of the aggressive actions by both players, which crew chief Tony Brothers deemed as “fighting technical fouls.” The Rockets’ win puts them at 41-25, tying them with the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies for control of the Western Conference standings.
