Suns Pursue Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler Amid Trade Deadline

Trade chatter surrounding the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors continues as Thursday’s deadline approaches. According to reports from The Athletic, the Suns are “known to covet” Warriors power forward Draymond Green due to his ties with team owner Mat Ishbia. Exploratory conversations have yielded an exorbitant asking price for Green.

The news comes after Arizona Sports confirmed a report suggesting the Warriors are trying to acquire Kevin Durant from the Suns. This season, Green averages 8.3 points and 5.5 assists per game.

The Suns’ interest in Golden State players doesn’t stop with Green; forward Jonathan Kuminga is also on their radar. The team is reportedly focused on adding Jimmy Butler via trade, with ESPN’s Shams Charania stating that Phoenix is “motivated every single day” to make the acquisition. The Houston Rockets are also considering a pursuit of Durant.

Additionally, Suns guard Bradley Beal is expected to remain in Phoenix through the trade deadline, given his no-trade clause and $110 million owed over the next two seasons.
