Super Bowl 2025 to Replace ‘End Racism’ Slogan with ‘Choose Love’

The NFL has confirmed that it will not feature the “End Racism” slogan in the end zones during Super Bowl LIX, marking the first time since 2021 without its presence. Instead, the Caesars Superdome will showcase “Choose Love” and “It Takes All of Us”. The decision was made in light of recent events, including a terror attack on Bourbon Street and wildfires in Southern California.

According to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, the change does not relate to President Donald Trump’s initiatives against diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Instead, the league cited the need for a fresh message in response to current events, such as the wild fires and terrorist attacks that have shaken the country recently. Commissioner Roger Goodell also emphasized that the NFL will continue its efforts towards diversity, equity and inclusion.

The “Choose Love” slogan is seen as an appropriate response to the nation’s recent turmoil, following the plane and helicopter crash near Washington D.C. and other incidents of violence across the country. The end zones at Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC championship game did not feature the “End Racism” logo in 2022, but this year marks a change from the previous year.

The NFL has been using the “Inspire Change” platform since 2020, featuring various slogans such as “It Takes All of Us,” “Stop Hate,” and “Vote”. The league aims to promote diversity, equity and inclusion efforts both on and off the field, attracting top talent and reflecting the values of its fan base and communities.
