Super Bowl 59 Ads: Celebrities and Brands Unite for Record-Breaking Prices

The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans will host Super Bowl 59 on February 9, where the Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Kansas City Chiefs. This year’s ad space is expected to attract over 120 million viewers, making it a lucrative opportunity for brands.

Demand for ads has been robust, with major companies like Anheuser-Busch, Meta, PepsiCo, and Frito-Lay competing for attention. The high demand led to record-breaking prices, with some ad spots selling for up to $8 million.

Fox Sports executive Mark Evans confirmed that ad space sold out in November, with a waitlist for marketers looking to secure a spot. While the exact price of a 30-second ad remains undisclosed, it’s reported to be significantly higher than last year’s average of around $7 million.

This year’s ad mix includes traditional categories like beverages and snacks, as well as tech companies and telecoms. However, there will be a greater focus on artificial intelligence in commercials, while pharmaceutical companies are also expected to increase their advertising presence. In contrast, movie promos and streamers have seen a decline in participation, and automakers – with the exception of Jeep and Ram – have opted out due to recent sector challenges.
